One painting takes me a week to a month. Your signed print of it costs $9.
Every piece starts as one image in my head, usually set off by a photograph or a memory. Then I painstakingly paint dot after dot until the picture shows up.
It's slow. It's tedious. It's hard on my hand. That labor is the point of the paintings, and you can see it in every print: lean in and the picture falls apart into the dots I put there.

Before you join, the plain answers.
What if I change my mind?
Pause, skip or cancel from your member portal whenever you like. Cancelling takes effect at your next billing date. No pressure, no guilt.
When does my first print show up?
Join by the 20th and you get that month's edition. Join after the 20th and you start with the next one. I mail everything the last week of the month.
Is shipping really free, even overseas?
Yes. Shipping is included in the $9 in every country. International envelopes usually take one to three weeks, depending on your postal service.
There's no tracking. What if it gets lost?
It travels with a regular stamp, so there's no tracking number. If it hasn't arrived a few weeks after mailing, or it turns up damaged, email me at prescott@dotprintclub.com.
How do I display them?
5×7 is a standard size, so any off-the-shelf frame works. Or collect them in the archival album and flip through a year of paintings.
Can I get an edition I missed?
Yes. Past issues are available under Catch up on previous prints.

Originals
The paintings themselves, every dot put there by hand. There is one of each. When it sells, it's gone, and the print is the only way to own the image.
Commissions
A painting made for one wall: yours. We talk, I sketch, you see progress photos from the studio, and the canvas arrives in 4 to 12 weeks. Half up front, half when it's finished.
I paint it, sign it, pack it and post it.
I'm Prescott Tong. I grew up outside Portland, Oregon, rarely without a sketchbook, and I paint in Los Angeles now. I'm Chinese Vietnamese American, and my work pulls from that, from pop culture, from history, and from a habit of poking at the stories we tell ourselves.
This is a one-person studio. When your envelope lands, I'm the one who painted what's inside, signed it, wrote the note and stuck on the stamp. If anything is ever wrong, you're writing to me, not a help desk.
